Due to the long-term renovation of the traditional ABAF conference spaces in the university rector's building, the conference will take place again in 2023 in the Auditorium of Professor Brauner of the Brno University of Technology (VUT) in Brno, Czech Republic. On all days of the conference, transport will be organized from hotel Continental to the conference premises before the start of the daily program, and transport back at the end of the day. The distance is 5 km and the ride takes 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic level. In case, you would come by car, there is a parking place directly in front of the Auditorium.
In case, you would need to get to the conference premises by public transport, the bus stop "Podnikatelská" is only 3 minutes (190 m) away, eventually the tram stop "Technologický park" is 9 minutes (650 m) away. You can find a route depending on your starting point here.
Brno
Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic, the largest Moravian city, and the historical capital of the Margraviate of Moravia. The city lies at the confluence of the Svitava and Svratka rivers and has about 400 000 inhabitants. It is the seat of a number of state authorities, e.g. the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the Ombudsman or the Office for the Protection of Competition. Brno is also an important educational centre, with 34 faculties belonging to 14 university type institutions.
The city is famous by its trade fairs and exhibitions as it ranks among the largest exhibition centres in Europe. Brno also hosts motorbike and other races on the Masaryk Circuit, in which the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix is the most prestigious one. The most visited sights include the Špilberk castle and fortress and the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul on Petrov hill, two medieval buildings that dominate the cityscape and are the traditional symbols of Brno.
